If approved, the City will manage the grant on behalf of the Community Health Leadership Board to help study the impact of regional efforts around low-barrier, rapid-access MAT (medication assisted treatment). The Pew Charitable Trust’s Community Opioid Response and Evaluation program (CORE) advances the evaluation and adoption of best practices/innovations that address opioid use disorder at the community level. This grant aligns well with the City’s collaborative efforts to address the opioid epidemic and its focus on social determinants of health to reduce barriers to care and improve health equity for all populations.
