Bids/Purchasing a. Request to Waive Bid Process - Mobile Data Terminals – Police – PC Patrol - $84,222 Motion made and seconded to approve purchase, motion passed unanimously. b. Restroom Cleaning Contract – Community Connector – Service Master Motion made and seconded to approve contract, motion passed unanimously. c. Curbside Refuse/Recycling – Public Services – Pine Tree Waste - $747,015 Motion made and seconded to recommend a two month extension of the current contract with a CPI escalation to the City Council, motion passed unanimously. Motion made and seconded to recommend award of contract for commingled weekly pickup of refuse and recycling effective September 2, 2019 to the City Council, motion passed unanimously. d. Airport Operations Property & Casualty Insurance – Airport – Cross Insurance Motion made and seconded to recommend contract award to the City Council, motion passed unanimously e. City Property & Casualty Insurance – City Wide – Maine Municipal Association - $778,193 Councilors discussed the two bids received and noted the significant financial difference. It was noted that the coverages do vary by proposer and it is difficult to equalize. Councilors requested that staff work with Cross to see if additional price concessions could be realized. The item will th be reviewed by Council on June 24. 2. Taking Possession of 16 Everett Street Motion made and seconded to recommend action to the City Council, motion passed unanimously. 3. Write off of Taxes – Various Motion made and seconded to approve the write off of various accounts meeting the definitions provided by staff, motion passed unanimously. 4. Executive Session – 1 MRSA Sect 405 (6)(c) – Land Disposition 5. Open Session – Recommendation Motion made and seconded to recommend land disposition to the City Council, motion passed unanimously.
