ORDERED,
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to execute a Municipal Quitclaim Deedconveying1.59 acres of land
plus an easement to the United states of America, a copy of said
deed being on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Statement of Fact: At the present time, the Federal Goverment
owns the Control Tower and adjacent radar facilities at the Airport.
However, the underlying land wasconveyed to the City as a part of
the original Airport transfer. The wishes to make some improve-
ments to their buildings, and therefore has requested that the City
convey back to the Goverment 1.59 acres of land, plus a sight -of -way
to the Griffin Road. A Plan showing the location of the lot and
right-of-way has been, filed with the city Engineer.

MUNICIPAL QUITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a body Corporate, located at Bangor, County
Of Penobscot, State Of Maine, for consideration paid, releases to the
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and its assigns, all its right, title and
interest in and to the following described real estate, with all
buildings and improvements thereon, situated in said Bangor, Penobscot
County, Maine, bounded and described as follows:
Starting at an iron rod located a distance of
134.81 feet from the most westerly corner of the
ATCT at coordinates N 356853.11, E 415290.59 of
the Maine State Coordinate System East Zone, said
Point being the point of beginning of the FAA
Site Plot, proceed N 45" - 35' - 00" W distance
Of 275.58 feet t0 an iron rod;
thence proceed N 44' -25' - 00" E a distance of
245.00 feet to an iron rod; thence proceed S 45 1-
351 - 00" E a distance of 290.04 feet to an iron
rod; thence proceed S 47" - 47' - 40" W a distance
Of 245.43 feet to an iron rod marking the point of
beginning of the FAA Site Plot.
Said parcel contains 1.59 acres of land.
All bearings and distances are based on the Maine
State Coordinate System East Zone.
Refer to property plan dated August 1981 for the
Bangor Maine ATCT/AFS as submitted by Andrew C.
Shyka, Registered Land Surveyor, State of Maine.
Also conveying an easement for all purposes of a
right-of-way, over and across an eighty (80) foot
wide parcel of land, the centerline of which is
hounded and described as fellows:
Starting at a point in the centerline of Griffin
Road at coordinates N 357259.48, E 416550.10 of the
Maine State Coordinate System, East Zone, said
Point being located S 35 ^- 43' - 12" W a distance
Of 2,756.80 feet, as measured along said centerline
from the southwesterly side line of Union Street
as defined by the layout Of Griffin Road by the
City of Bangor recorded in volume 2179, Page 195
of the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds; proceed
N 79" - 58' - 45" W a distance of 44.39 feet to the
point of beginning of the FAA Right -of -Nay.

450.13 feet along the Right -of -Way centerline to
a point;
thence proceed along a curve to the left, having a
radius of 850.27 feet and aentral angle of 81 -
19' - 40•, a distance of 123.58 feet to a point:

77.00 feet to a point; thence proceed along a curve
to the right, having a radius of .235.67 feet and a
central angle of 21°'- 22. 19" a distance of 87.91
feet to a point; thence proceed along a curve to the
left, having a radius of 115.18 feet and a central
angle of 720 - 53' - 54", a distance of 146.53 feet
to apoint; thence proceed S 400 - 10' - 20" W a
distance of 357.00 feet to a point on the north-
easterly boundary of the ATCT site plot at
coordinates N 357074.68, E 415414.53, said point

81.00 feet along said northeasterly boundary from
an iron
rod marking the most easterly corner of
the ATCT site plot'.
Said parcel contains 2.28 acres of land.
This is a conveyance to the United States of America
for the Federal Aviation Administration.
Excepting and reserving from the above-described
description, that Certain building identified a
the Air Traffic Control Tower owned by the United
States Government.
All bearings and distances are based on the Maine
State Coordinate System East Zone.
Refer to Property Plan dated November 28, 1981 for
the Bangor, Maine ATCT/AFS as submitted by Dean F.
Webster, Registered Land Surveyor, State of Maine.
Any and all other rights, easements,
ents, privileges
and appurtenances belongingtogranted estate
are hereby conveyed.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be sealed with
its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by JOHN W. FLYNN, its
City Manager thereunto duly authorised, this day of May, A.D. 1983.
