THAT Chapter VIII, Article 3, Section 2 "Definitions" be amended

Floor Area: (fop determining floor az a=ratio) is the af the
gross horizontal areas of theseveral floors of the
building measured from the exterior faces of the exterior walls or
from the center line of walla separating two. buildings. The "floor
area" of a building shall include EeeemexE-f}ear-arses elevator shafts
and stairwells at each floor, floor space used for mechanical equip-
ment (except equipment, open orenclosed-, located on the roof), pent-
houses, attic apace having headroom of seven feet 10 inches or more,
interior balconies and mezzanines, enclosed perches, and floor area ,
devoted to accessory uses. However; any space devoted to off-street
parking or loading shall not be .included in "floor area" may shall

Chapter VIII, Article 3, Section 2 - "Definitions"
C.O. P 84-359
Please be advised that the Planning Board at its regular
meeting on October 15, 1984, held a public hearing on the above
zoning amendment. After considerable discussion as to the need
for clarifying these basic definitions in the Zoning Ordinance
the Planning Board voted five in favor and none opposed to
recommend adoption of the above zoning amendment.
