The request for the extension was received from the Bangor Target Area Development Corporation, intended to replace an existing 6 inch private sewer, so as to provide service to Lots Be. 1, 2 and 3 in the Dowd Industrial Estates Subdivision. The PrO8 sewer extension would consist of the instal.. lation of 490 feet of 8 inch pipe and one manhole. The total estimated cost of the extension is $10,700.00. Of this amount, the City would pay fifty percent, and the remaining $5,350.00 would be assessed against the properties benefitted, being Lots No. 1 2and 3 in said Subdivision, presently owned by the Target Area bevelopwent Corporation. Pro rated against the area of the individual Late, the assessments would be as follows: Lot Be. 1 $l,yl3.00 Lot No. 2 $1030.00 lot No. 3 $2,107.00 Total $5050.00 The Owner of the property has requested that the assessments be deferred until the property is sold. In this regard, the City Engineer recommended that the assessments be deferred for not more than three years, and that ten percent simple interest be added to the assessments for each year that they are deferred. Since the installation of a public sewer to serve these Lots will make them more attractive for purchase, it is recommended that the sewer be constructed, and that the assessments be deferred as mentioned above. Plans showing the proposed sewer extension are on file in the Office of the City Engineer. Respectfully yssubmitted* dolor T. Prawlj CyCiy Engineer _2-
