THAT, WHEREdS33 the City Council, by Council Order No. 84-133
passed March 26, 1784, has authorized the City Engineer to lay out
and establish as a public way an extension of the Blanchard Street
right-of-way in a northerly direction for a distance of 25 feet; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has accepted the City Engineer's
report relative to the laying out of said Blanchard Street extension;
and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the public exigency
requires the immediate acquisition of said right-of-way extension;

CRDEREDI by the City Council of the City of Bangor, in its
capacity as the Municipal Officers of the City of Bangor, that the
City of Bangor, Maine hereby acquires by eminent domain pursuant to
23 M.R. S.d., Sec. 3022 and 3023, a parcel of land at the northerly
terminus of the existing Blanchard Street right-of-way, said land
owned by G & S Associates of Bangor, described in a Deed dated July
16, 1976 and recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Vol. 2671,
Page 91, said parcel more fully described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the easterly right-of-way line of
Blanchard Street at its present northerly terminus, be 100
feet north from the norther7.�y right-of-way line of Knox Avenue;
thence in a northerly direction on an extension of the easterly

distance of 25 feet to the present northerly terminus of said
Blanchard Street; thence in an easterly direction along said
northerly terminus of Blanchard Street for a distance of 50 feet
to the point of beginning.

The above described right-of-way extension contains 11250
square feet, and is part of land acquired by G & 6 Associates of
Bangor from the Diocesan Bureau of Housing by a Dead dated July
16, 1976 and recorded in Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Vol. 2671,
Page 91.
The purpose of said right-of-way extension is to provide
access to adjacent property which does not presently have frontage
on the Blanchard Street right-of-way, and to encompass an existing
portion of the Blanchard Street travel way which presently extends
beyond the present terminusof the right-of-way. And be it further
ORDERED. THAT the City Council hereby determines that the
amount of damages as just compensation for the property interests
therein taken from G & S Associates of Bangor is $100.00. And be
it further
CHDEIMD THAT the City Engineer be and hereby is authorized
to take all further action as required by law to complete the
condemnation and acquisition of said right-of-way extension by
said City of Bangor.
