RESOLVED. THAT the Bangor City Council, by adoption of this.
Resolve, does hereby determine that the amendment to the Bangor City
Charter described herein should be considered, and be it further
RESOLVED, THAT the City. Clerk is hereby authorized and directed,
pursuant to 30 M.R.S.A. ee 1911 at seq., as amended, to provide
for published notice of a hearing to be held at 8'.'" PM on
'G1 (so,/°min the City Council Chambers for purposes of
s dering lthe pYoposed amendment to the Bangor City Charter,
the text of said proposed amendment and a brief explanation
thereof being as follows:
THAT the 5th line, first snetence, first paragraph, Sec. 1
Article IV, of the City Charter be mended to read in part as
follows:
.thereafter on the Tuesday following the
first Monday. of November in each year a regular
municipal election shall be held and the qualified
voters of the city shall ballot for councilors to
fill the office of the councilors whose terms of
office expire that year, and the qualified voters
of each precinct shall, at the same time, ballot
to fill the office of warden or ward clerk which shall
expire that year."
Explanation: The purpose of this amendment is to change the date
of the city election from the second Monday in October to the
Tuesday following the first Monday of November of each year.

Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Officers of the City of Bangor
shall hold a public hearing 1n the Council Rom, City Nall. Carob 26, 1984
at 8:00 P.M. for consideration of the following; providing for the
