STATEMENT OF FACT: The Supplemental Agreement involves additional design and actstrnotion inspection of work which was not anticipated when the original Engineering Contract was approved. The additional work is primarily related to the Domestic Terminal, which includes the analysis and corrective work on various structural members, additional waterproofing and joint repair attendant to the roof, windows and skylights, the relocation of the air conditioning piping, and finish repair and carpeting. The total estimated cost of the additional work is approximately $65,600.00, with 90% to be paid for by FAA. Install Airport Rood Sign; Expand Commuter Ramp; Install Blast Fence; and Install Security Lighting for Me General Aviation Apron Airport Improvement Program Project No. 3-23-0005-03 At the Bangor International Airport Bogor, Maine This SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT is made and entered into on the day of . 1985, by and between the City of Bangor, Maine, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, and the firm of Edwards and Kelcey, Inc., 286 Congress Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02210, hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER, for design, cpr6truction supervision, resident lxpection and administrative services in connection with work more specifically defined herein at the Bangor International Airport. It is understood that this work is to be carried out under the Federal Aviation Administration`s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program with participation by the Maine Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics (MOOT). WITNESSETH: I - WHEREAS, by an Agreement dated January 3, 1985, the OWNER engaged the ENGINEER for the design and inspection of construction of Terminal Building Roof Rehabilitation, Installation of Airport Road Signs, Commuter Ramp Even- sion, Installation of a Blast Fence, and the Installation of Security Lighting for the General Aviation Apron at the Bangor International Airport; and WHEREAS, at the OWNER'S request an evaluation of the Terminal Buildings was undertaken by the ENGINEER to attempt to identify all of the deficiencies which may relate to the leaking of the Airport Terminal Buildings; and WHEREAS, as a result of the abovementioned evaluation a report entitled B international Airport Domestic International rT,areilt PsedRsadndatNovember 1984herenafter referred to as the REPORT, attached hereto and made a part hereof, was submitted by the ENGINEER to the OWNER; and WHEREAS, as a result of the REPORT, and of discussions between the OWNER and fine ENGINEER an November 22, 1985, the OWNER has instructed the ENGINEER to perform Extra Services in accordance with Arficle I of the Original Agreement, such work being described 08 follows! • Evaluate the structural integrity of the Domestic Terminal Building and to provide the OWNER with a written report as to his findings; • Prepare the preliminary design/study and estimates and to prepare final designs, controot plans and specifications, construction supervision, resident inspection and administration of the rehabilitation of the Terminal Buildings by providing for those improvements listed in Priority Groups 2, 3 a 4 of the REPORT, more specifically defined as nd ' D Structural repairs and expansion joints (includes required structural repairs and expansion joints included in Priority 3.1) 2) Chiller and piping alterations (includes relocation of piping under roof, Priority Group 2.1) 3) Waterproofing (skylights, wirdows, fascia, recaulking precast panels, i,sul. walls above concourse ceiling, Pirority Groups 2.2, 2.3,2.4,2.5&3.2) 4) Finish repair and carpeting -concourse level (includes treatment at structural repairs and Priority Group 4.0 • Accompany the OWNER'S survey crew and assist as necessary in the compilation of data required by the ENGINEER to undertake the work specified in ENGINEERdatedAGREEMENT by and between the OWNER and the da NOWTHEREFORE, in consideration of these. premises and for the fees and reimbursements named herein, the OWNER and the ENGINEER do hereby mutually agree as follows: A. The SCOPE of the Original Agreement is deleted in its entirety and amended to read as follows: SCOPE WHEREAS, the OWNER proposes to: "Rehabilitate Terminal Building Roof; Install Airport Road Signs; Expand Com- muter Ramp; Install Fence; Install Security Lighting far the General Aviation Apron; Perform a Structural Evaluation goal Rehabilitate the Domestic and International Terminal Buildings" at the Bangor International Airport, Bangor, Main; and WHEREAS, the OWNER desires professional engineering services in connection with the aforesaid improvements: NOW THEREFORE, the ENGINEER, for the fees and reimbursements named herein, agrees to furnish the necessary professional engineering services to the OWNER in accordance with the following articles: 8. ARTICLE A - PROCUREM OF SITE DATA of the Original Agreement is amended by adding the following paragraph: C. Field Surveys. All field survey Information will be provided to the Engineer by the Owner. The Engineer will providegeneral wpervision of the surveying when requested whether verbally or in writing by the Owner. C. `ARTICLE G - BASIS OF PAYMENT of the Original Agreement is amended by: I: deleting the wards "lump sum" and "lump sum of" from para. a.
