Both the City Council Legislative Policy Committee and the Pull Bangor CIty
Council have discussed the possible impact of L.D. Nes. 30, 67, and 109 on the
City of Bator. After completing their deliberations, the Bangor City Council
adopted Counall Resolve No. 85-113 on February 11, 1985, opposing all time
proposals. Enclosed please find a copy of the Council's action. As away of, you
are aware, a large portion of the property in the City of Bangor is exempt from
taxation. The Council is concerned that any further expansion of the ex®ptien
for parsonages which would serve to erode the City's tax base would be unwise.
Very truly yours,
Robert E. Hiller
City Solicitor
