APPLICATION FOR BURIED CABLE/MMUIT SIJCATION Bangor, Maine January 9, 1985 .To the Board of Councilmen of Bangor, Maitre NEW ENGLAlm TEI£PBONE AND 'fELE3WPH WSPANY respectfully requests permission to place and maintain burial cables, conduits, manholes, handholes, wish the Area and cables therein, pedestals, posts, markers, signs and other fixtures in, along, under and across the surface of she following public streets and highways: Franklin Street, from approximately 104' northerly of Hamnond St., approximately 185' of buried conduit, 1 - 62' lateral, 1 - 53' lateral and 1 - 5' lateral. THIS APPLICATION IS BEING SUBMITTED WITH PUBLIC NJTICE BY PUBLICATION Said cables/conduits shall he placed substantially in accordance with the plan filed herewith marked N. E. T. 6 T. Co. No. 9254280 dated January 9, 1985 and shall be placed at a minimim depth of 24 inches between the shoulder berms/curbs and a minimum depth of 12 inches elsewhere. Also for permission to place and maintain underground laterals, conduits, manholes, handholes, cables and wired in, along, wrier and across the above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as it may desire for distriNiting purposes. MERED: that permission to and is hereby granted NEW ENGLAND TELEPHONE ANTI ISISaaRA➢H COMPANY to place and maintain buried cables, Conduits, manholes, handholes, with the Area and cables therein, pedestals, posts, markers, signs and other fixtures in, along, under add across the surface of the following public streets and highways as requested in application of said Coupany dated the 9th day of January, 1985. Franklin Street, from approximately 104' northerly of Hammond Street, approximately 185' of huried conduit, 1-62' lateral, 1-53' lateral and, 1 - 5' lateral. Substantially as shown on plan marked N.E.T. S Co. W. 9254280 dated January 9, 1985. Also that permission be and is hereby granted the N ENGLAND TELEPHONE o0vuOwY to place and maintain underground laterals, manholes, handholes, cables, conduits, shod wires in, along, under and across the above or intersecting public ways for the purpose of making connections with such poles and buildings as it may desire for distributing purposes. Me foregoing permission is subject to the following conditions: 1. The laterals, conduits, manholes, handholes, pedestals, posts, markers and signs shall be of such material and construction and all work done in such a manner as to tie satisfactory to auto municipal officers as may be appointed to the supervision of the work, and a plan showing the location of buried cable laid and/or conduits c»nstructed shall be IIled with the City when the work is completed. 2. Said Coxpany shall indemnify and save the City tactless against all damages, costs and expanse whatsoever to which the City may be subjected in consequence of the acts or neglect of said Company, its agents or servants, or in any manner arising from the rights and privileges granted it by the City. In addition, said Oa ny shall before a public way is disturbed for the placing of its buried cable and/or conduits, execute its bond in a penal sum of Ten Thousand collars ($10,000.00) (reference being had to the Sound! already on file with said City conditioned for Ne faithful performance of said agreement and of its duties under this permiU. 4. Said Company Shall comply with the requirements of existing by-laws/ordinances and such as may herafter be adopted governing the construction and maintenance of buried cables, maniples, conduits, pales, wires, pedestals, posts, markers and signs so far as the same are not inconsistent with the laws of the State. It Is further adjudged and voted that satisfactory proof of validity of the applicant's notice or procedures required by statute has been given upon the application of said Caipany to place buried cables, conduits, manholes, with the wires and cables therein, pedestals, posts, markers and signs in, along, under and across the public streets end highways of Bangor, Maine, designated by this permit..
