THAT the zoning boundary lines as established by the Zoning Map of
the City of Bangor dated September 23, 1974, as amended, be hereby
further amended as follows:
By changing parcels of land located at 337-345 State Street (Tax
Map No. 55, Parcel Nos. 160, 161, and 162) from Residential 5 Zane
to Civic and Institutional Zone. Said parcels containing approximately
19,500 sq. £t. and being more particularly indicated on the map
attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Council Ordinance No. 85-56
Please be advised that the Planning Board opened the public
hearing on the above zone change request at its meeting of December
17, 1984 and continued and held the public hearing at its meeting
of January 7, 1985.
After considerable discussion about the reuse of this property
and its impact on the neighborhood, the Board concluded that the
use in a Civic and Institutional Zone would be very similar to its
eunder the present R-5 Zone and rec000aended, by a vote of three
in favor and two opposed, -that the City Council pass the requeated
zone change.

referred to the Bangor Planning Board, Statutes require a Public Hearing before the
Flaming Board, after a Public advertising (at least 10 days prior to such public
hearing), for all changes to the zoning ordinance of the City of Bangor. The re-
commendation of the Planning Board is then returned to the Bangor City Council for
final action.
