CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE
Engineering Department
To the Municipal Officere: August 21, 1986
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 86-329 passed
August 11, 1986 directing the City Engineer to prepare Plans and
Coat Estimates for the extension of the sanitary sewer on Ohio
Street. Plans and Cost Estimates have been completed which would
indicate the following:
The proposed extension would consist of the installation of
100 feet of 8 inch pipe and the relocation of the existing manhole.
This work, together with the repair of the existing pavement, would
cost an estimated $3,000.00. Of this amount, the City would pay
fifty percent,, and the remaining $1,500.00 would be assessed
against Investment Management Group, the original petitioners
for the sewer extension. The proposed extension will serve a
new housing project being developed directly adjacent to the
Granada Apartments development on Ohio Street.
It is recommended that the sewer extension be undertaken as
soon as possible, provided that the private share of the estimated
cost is received from the Developer.
Plans showing the proposed sewer extension are on rile in the
Office of the City Engineer.
Respectfully submitted,
J' ffi. Uexley,
City Engineer
