described as follows:
—1—
Beginning at a point on the southeasterly right-of-way
of Husson Avenue, said point being 359.56 feet northeast from
the intersection of said Husson Avenue right-of-way line with
the northeaster;y rigbt-of-way line of Renduskeag Avenue;
thence South 55 57' 12" East at right angles to said Husson
Avenue right-of-way line for a distance of 55.00 feet to a
point, being the point of curvature of a curve to the right
having a radius of 94.17 feet; thence along said curvesfor an
are distance of 47.86 feet to a point; thence South 26 50' 001'
East along a line tangent to said curve for a distance of
103.90 feet to a point, said point being the center of a 125-
foot diameter cul-de-sac. Said right-of-way is laid out to a
width of 50 feet, measured at right angles to the above-described
centerline, with a 125 foot diameter cul-de-sac at the south-
easterly end. Said rigght-of-way is more fully shown on a Plan
prepared by Andrew J. Zka, L.S. entitled "Final Plan, Sub-
division of College Park for Warren 0. Sawyer in Baagor,
Penobscot Couaty, Maine" dated June 20, 1977 recorded in
Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Plan Book D-75, Page 77 and
in Plan Book D-76, Page 77•
Said street has been previously constructed to acceptable
standards by a previous agreement between the City and Warren
Sawyer and Gerald Gouchberg, the original Developers of the
College Park Subdivision, and all assessments have been paid
for said construction.
No person or persons appeared at the time and place set
for the hearing; however, John E. Largay, owner of the property
along the southwest side of said right-of-way, has petitioned
to have the name changed from South Road to Cynthia Circle.
Since the right-of-way has never been formally accepted and
established as South Road, and since there are other streets
with the same name in surrounding communities, and since there
is already a street known as South Street adjacent to the
southerly side of Summer Street, it is felt that the name South
Road would result In confusion; therefore, it is recommended
that said street be named and known as Cynthia Circle, and
that it be laid ant and established as a public way as described
above.
Respectfully submitted,
John T. Frawley
City Engineer
