ORDRRRD,
THAT Under the provisions of Chapter III, Article 6, Section
4.1.2 - Off -Street Meter Zones - the City Manager shall delete from and
add to the schedule of Off -Street Parking Meter Zones the following
areas effective July 1,.1986. -
A. Deletions
1. "Haymarket Square" Area
2. "Kenduskeag Stream Plaza" Area
B. Additions
1. Kenddskea Stlream 'Plaza - The area of the Kenduskeag Stream Plaza
on the east si e o t e Stream, north or the pedestrian bridge up
to the. vehicular bridge containing approximately 22 spaces and
the area of the Kenduskeag Strums Plaza on the west side of the
Stream north of the pedestrian bridge up to the vehicular bridge
containing approximately ten spaces be established as aTwo Hour
0£f -Street Meter Zone..
A fee of twenty (20) bents for one hour and forty (40) cents for
two hours is hereby designated for this area.
Parking for more than 120 minutes in this area during the hours
of nine (9:00) a.m. and five (5:00)p.m. except on Saturdays,
Sundays, and Holidays shall be unlawful and in violation of
this Article.
2. Columbia etre¢[ liot - The off-street parking lot on the north
corner o Mi_ a Street and Columbia Street and containing
approximately 29 spaces be established as a Two Hour Off -Street
Parking Meter Zone.
A fee of twenty (20) cents for one hour and forty (40) cents for
two hours is hereby designated for this area.
Parking for more than 120 minutes in this area during the hours
of nine (9:00) a.m, and five (5:00) p.m. except on Saturdays,
Sundays, and Holidays shall be unlawful and in violation of
this Article.

3. "B-4" Lot - The off-street parking lot on Main Street designated
as�S "e-4" on the 1964 $enduskeag Stream Urban Renewal
Disposition Plan and containing approximately 24 spaces be
established as a Two -Hour Off -Street Meter Zone.
A fee of twenty (20) bents for one hour and forty (40) cents far
two hours is hereby designated for this area.
Parking for more than., 120 minutes in this area during the
hours of nine (9:00) a.m. and five (5:00) p.m. except on
Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays shall be unlawful and in viola-
tion of this Article. -
4. Lower Atler 'Lot - The lowerlevelof the off-street parking lot
on ar ow tree( between Spring Street and Cumberland Street and
containing approximate 24 spaces be established as a One -Hour
Off -Street Meter Zone.
A fee of ten (10) cents per half hour and twenty (20) cents for
one hour is hereby designated .for this area.
Parking for more than sixty (60) minutes in this area during
the hours of nine (9:00) a m and five (5.00) p.m, except on
Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays shall be unlawful and in
violation of this Article.
AND BE IT FORMER ORDERED THAT Under the provisions of Chapter III, Article
6, Section 6.1 the City Manager be authorized to delete the following areas
from the Off -Street Permit Parking Lot Schedule effective July 1, 1986:
"Haymarket Square" and "P-6" area in the Water Street, Broad
Street, Independent Street Block.
AND BE IT FURTHER ORDERED THAT pursuant to the provislonso£ Chapter III,
Article 6, Section 14 2, the City Manager be authorized to establish the
following Off -Street Control Area:
The former "Shop and Park" Lot (Pickering Square Area on Merchants
Plaza and Water Street excluding the area adjacent. to Eenduskeag
Plaza containing two rows of parking spaces for approximately
50 vehicles) containing approximately. 175 spaces'.
This parking area, shall be controlled from 7430 a.m., to 6:00 p.m.
Monday thru Friday except onlegal holidays.
The fee for parking shall be 25 cents for the first hour and 15 cents
for each additional hour.'
Any vehicle in this control area without a valid, time stamped ticket
shall pay the maximum fee of $1.60.
Any vehicle in this control area which has not paid the parking fee
at 6:00 P.M. shall be assessed for the maximum fee of $1.60.
