THAT the z ming boundary. lines as established by the Zoning Nap
of -the City of.. Bangor dated September 23, 1974, as amended, be
hereby further amended as follows:
By changing a parcel of. land located at 49 Griffin Sued (Tax Nap No.
R 23, Parcel No. 20) from Residential 1 Zone to Commercial 1 Zone.
Said parcel containing. approximately .63acresandbeing more par-
ticularly indicated on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof.
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT, in addition to the mandatory conditions
imposed by Chapter. VIII, Article 21, Section 11-.3, Ordinancesof the
City of Bengal, said change of zone is granted subject to the following
conditions:
1. The u e and/or pp ration of the subject premises shall be
subject to the$ following limitations and/or restrictions:
a. The residential character of the property shall be
retained, with the only changes to the site will be
slight expansion of the existing parking area to
provide; spaces There is ample scare forvehicular
maneuvering so that cars will not back onto Griffin
Road.
b. There shall be no expansion of the shop area beyond the
existing 1120 Square feet currently devoted to that use.
C. The total number of employees on the premises shall not
exceed three (3) at any one time.
d. The non-residential portion of the subject premises shall
be used only for a Beauty Shop.
e. The applicant is in agreement that the contract shall
provide that the property may revert to a Residential -
1 Zoneat such time as the shop. located therein ceases
to be used as Beauty Shop.

2. Execution by those parties with an interest in the affected
property of an agreement providing for the implementation and enforce-
ment of all the terms and conditions set forth above and the recording
of said -executed agreement in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds
by the property owners, a copy of said agreement being on file in the
Office of the CityClerkand incorporated herein by reference. In .the
event that said agreement is not so executed and recorded within .sixty
(60) days from the date of passage hereof, this. Ordinance shall become
null and void.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL. OF. THE CITY OF. BANGOR THAT
this Ordinance amendment shall become effective upon the recordation
of an executed copy of the aforementioned agreement in the Penobscot
County Registry of Deeds or at such time as the same becomes effective
pursuant to the provisionsof the City Charter of the City of Bangor,.
whichever is,. later.

Action for a noting change will be initiated with the Bangor City Council end
referred to the Bangor Planning Board. Statutea require a Public Hearing before the
Planning Board, after a public advertising (at least 10 days prior to such public
hearing), for all changes to the noning ordinance of the City of Bangor. The re-
commendation of the Planning Board is than returned to the Bgngor City Council for
final action.

Council Ordinance No. 86-101
Please be advised that the Planning Board at its regular meeting
on March 3, 1986, held a public hearing on the above noted zone
change request.
After considerable discussion concerning the land use policy
(as expressed in the Land. Use Plan) concerning the area immediately
adjacent to the Kenduskeag Stream, the Board voted by a vote of
4 to 1 nottorecommend the contract zone change request in C.O. p
86-101 to the City Council.
