Amendment, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to the existing Contract. between the City of Bangor and Sawyer Environmental Recovery Facilities, Inc., dated September 10, 1984, for purposes of extending the term of said Contract until February 1, 1988 or the date that Penobscot Energy Recovery Company (FERC) is able to receive solid waste materials from the City. Under our current proposal, its, expiration date is determined by the City Etgineer as the date on which PEFIC is ready and able to accept solid waste materials from the City. Representatives of Sawyer Environmental have asked fast the expiration date be keyed to the date PEW notifies the City it is nearly and able to take .solid waste materials. 'this date is established under the existing Agreement between PERC and the City of Bangor, dated July 10, 1905. I have ro objection to their request. therefore, I ask that Paragraph 1 of the proposed Amendment be modified to read as follows: "1. term. Midnight Septanber 10, 1987 to the date the PenoteCot. (4) THAT except for tte foregoing, said Disposal Facility Agreement, dated September 10, 1984 between the City Of Bangor and Sawyer Environmental Recovery Facilities shall ranain in full force and affect in all other respects between the urAersigred.
