By the City Cawmeff of the Oft of Bangor. - ORDERED, THAT , WSMSEAS, the City Council, by Council Order No. 316 AN passed July 9, 1979. authorized the alteration and extension of the Hancock Street right-of-way between Pearl Street and State Street; and WHEREAS, the southerly end of the Spruce Street roadway was relocated to connect to Pearl Street, resulting in the abandonment of the southerly portion of Spruce Street NOW, THEREFORE, Be It OEDERED, THAT the City Engineer, acting for and on behalf of the Municipal Officers, according to 23 [CR.S.A., d 3026 be and hereby Is directed to dis- continue that portion of the Spruce Street right-of-way located between the southerly right -of -may line,of the Spruce Street extension to Pearl Street and the northerly right -of -Bay line of Hancock Street as altered in 1979, the portion of Spruce Street to be discontinued more fully described as follows: Beginning on the southwesterly right-of-way line of Spruce Street a laid out by the City Council on September 13. 1899 at the intersection with the northwesterly right-of-way line of Hancock Street as established by the City Council on July 9, 1979; thence North 260 34' 44" West along the south- westerly right-of-way line of Spruce Street for a distance of 93.05 feet to a point, being on the southeasterly right-of-way line of the Spruce Street extension to Pearl Street' thence North 50° 08' 56" East for a distance of 41.05 feet to the northeasterly right-ofway line of Spruce Street as originally laid out; thence South 26° 34' 44" East along the northeasterly right-of-way line of Spruce Street as originally laid out for a distance of 56.55 feet to the northwesterly right-of-way line of Hancock Street a5 laid out in 1979; thence in a southwesterly direction along said northwesterly right -o£ -way - line of Hancock Street, being along arve to the right having a radius of 429.34 feet for a distance of 6.70 feet to a point of curvature of a compound curve having a radius of 477.41 feet thence continuing along said compound curve for a distance of 54.61 feet to the point of beginning.
