To the Municipal Officers:
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 87-183 passed May 27, 1987
directing the City Engineer to determine the cost of extending the sewer
n
Sylvan Road, in response to a petition from Darling's. Surveys, Plane and
Cost Estimates gave been completed, which would propose the following:
The sewer extension would consist of the installation of 1,270 feet
of 8 inch pipe add 4 manholes, extending westerly on Sylvan Road from the
Penjajawoc Interceptor Sewer. The total estimated coat of the sewer
installation is Twenty-eight Thousand Dollars ($28,000.00). Of this amount,
the City would pay fifty percent, and the remaining $14,000.00 would be
assessed against the property benefitted, awned by Darling's, the original
petitioner. The estimated cost of the project has been approved by Darling's.
Theaextension will initially s automobile dealership, having
a total estimated test of approximately $2 million with further expansion
of remaining vacant land to follow; consequently, the taxes to be generated
will more than offset the City's shaveofthe cost. -
Plans showing the proposed sewer are on file in the office of the City
Engineer.
Respectfully submitted.
