Engineering. Department
June 18, 1987
To the Municipal Officers:
Reference is made to a petition received from Peter Schwartz dated -
May 24, 1986requesting a study to determine the cost of extending the
sanitary sewer on Westland Avenue from Texas Avenue i northeasterly
direction tos a his property. Plans and Cost Estimates were
completed
at that time, which would provide for the installation of $75 feet of 8
inch pipe and 2 manholes, at a total estimated cost of $12,000.00. Of
this amount, fifty Percent would be assessed
sed against the property eased
by Mr. Schwartz to be benefitted by the
sewer installation, and the City
would pay the remaining fifty percent.
Mr. Schwartz did not respond to our original questionnaire, but has
recently indicated a desire to have the a tended. It should be noted
that the initial extension will s ee2acreparcel of vacant land: the
future extension
nsion fora serve
additional 325 feet would s and parcel,
containing a house which is served by a septic tank. Mr. Schwartz plans
to develop the vacant lot.
It is [ended that the sewer be extended upon receipt of the
estimated private share of $6,000.00 from M[. Schwartz. Plans of the
proposed sewer extension are on file in the City Engineer's Office.
Respectfully submitted.
