HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-11-24 87-15 ORDER87-15 Introduced by Councilor Frankel, November 29, 1986 _dApp CITY OF BANGOR (TUTEE.) @1[Itert Eetablf hmeat oP Prone t Co®attee -.Lord and Rxter.CouServation Fwd - Garland Street Field Project By the GUY Caswell of ids City of-Baayor: ORDERED, THAT WHEREAS, the Guidelines for Participation - Land and Water Conservation Fund published by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Recreation and National Park Service require that prior to applica- tion for funds, the municipality must have established project committee of a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of seven (7) members with overlapping terms of tenure and that a member of this committee be the person assigned by the municipality to have day-to- day responsibility for the project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT: 1.; There is hereby established a Garland Street Field Project Committee which shall advise the City Council on matters pertaining to proposed improvements to Garland Street Field. 2. The Project Committee shall consist of seven (7) members. Three members of the Project Committee shall be initially appointed to serve terms of three (3) years; two members shall initially be appointed to serve terms of two (2) years; and the remaining two (2) members shall be appointed to serve terms of (1) year. All appointments thereafter made spall be for a term of three (3) years, except in those instances in which the appointment v made to fill a vacancy for an unexpired term, in which case the appointment shall be for the remainder of the unexpired term. 3. Members of the Garland Street Field Committee are hereby initially appointed as follows: Three Year Term Chairman of the City Council Chairman of the City Council Community Development Committee Chairman of the School Board Two Year Term Superintendent of Schools City Engineer One Year Term Director of Parka and Recreation Gary Stover, Member Garland Street Field Committee S. The City Engineer is hereby assigned to have day-to- day responsibility for the Garland Street Field Project.
