Also, civil emergencies are w handled under a program administered by the State Emergency Management Bureau. The City has previously been designated ascivil emergency prepared- ness agency by the Governor. Another Order will be on the agenda to formally appoint the Fire Chief as Director of Local Civil Emergency Preparedness. In most c mmunitiet so designated, the Fire Chief has been delegated the responsibility of handling - civil emergencies on thelocal level.
