Summary
This Ordinance will amend Chapter 165 of the Land Development Code to rezone approximately 2.5 acres of
the property at 976 Odlin Road from Urban Industry District to Rural Residence & Agriculture District.
Approximately 1 -acre area at the easterly end of the parcel will remain zoned Urban Industry District. The
proposed zone change will allow the applicant to utilize the existing house structure on the property for
residential use, while retaining the current zoning on portions of the property not directly adjacent to the
house.

ORDINANCE, Amending Chapter 165, Land Development Code, Zone Change — Changing a portion of the
property at 976 Odlin Road (Tax Map R10-008) from Urban Industry District (UID) to Rural Residence &
Agriculture District (RR&A).
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Bangor has identified this property as suited for industrial
use; and
WHEREAS, the property contains a house, which had previously been a grandfathered nonconforming use,
however that status was lost when the house was used for commercial purposes several years ago; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, Mark Ogden, seeks to use the existing house on the property as a residential
structure again;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR AS FOLLOWS, THAT
That the zoning boundary lines as established by the Zoning Map of the City of Bangor dated October 28,
1991, as amended, be hereby further amended as follows:
By changing a portion of the property located at 976 Odlin Road (Tax Map R10-008) from Urban Industry
District (UID) to Rural Residence & Agriculture (RR&A), said parcel of land containing approximately 2.5 acres
and being more particularly indicated on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof.
