Also in attendance were City Manager Cathy Conlow, Airport Director Tony Caruso and Airport Marketing Manager Aimee Thibodeau. Agenda and Discussion: 1. Stellar Partners Concession Agreement Airport Director Tony Caruso requested Airport Committee approval to execute an amendment to the Stellar Partners Concession Agreement extending the lease for an additional year (January 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019). Stellar Partners operates Bangor News & Gifts. Lease rates are based on a percentage of gross sales. Motion made, seconded and approved. The Agreement will be presented to the City Council for final approval. 2. New Castle Hotel Corporation (Sheraton Four Points) lease Director Caruso requested Airport Committee approval to execute a new lease with New Castle Hotel Corporation that operates the Sheraton Four Points at the Airport. They came to us recently requesting an extension even though there were still two years remaining on the current lease. The request was made in order to secure financing for hotel improvements. Given that the original agreement was executed in 1974, and there have been numerous subsequent amendments, it was prudent to establish a new agreement. The new agreement is for a term of 20 years, with three options for 10-year extensions. Motion made, seconded and approved. The new lease will be presented to the City Council for final approval. 3. Airport Statistics – August & September Marketing Manager Aimee Thibodeau distributed the Statistical Reports for August and September. In September, total monthly passengers up 4% and YTD passengers up 15%. The pie chart shows good mix among carriers; no one carrier dominates our market. Load factors are up for all airlines. Total Operations is up 3%. Domestic landings are up 13%. Fuel Sales are up in total; DOD sales continue to lag due to decreased military activity. DOD services are trending upward. August Statistics mirror September numbers. Meeting Adjourned.
