Discussion : Chief Hathaway explained the program would allow Partners for Peace to apply for
a grant to provide a Victims Witness Advocate for the Bangor Police Department. Currently, the
Victim Witness program is run out of the DA’s Office and the caseload is very large. This will
provide for a dedicated Victims-Witness Advocate for Bangor cases. Bangor PD has worked a
long time with Partners for Peace and is excited about the potential of having a dedicated
Victims/Witness Advocate in the PD.
