Water District Request for Land for Infrastructure Amanda Soucier informed the Committee they were proposing to upgrade and consolidate pump stations. Bangor Water District was requesting access to City property to conduct test borings. If the site is suitable after performing the study, Bangor Water District would approach the City about acquiring the property. Vote: Moved and Seconded, Unanimous 2. Pedestrian Safety Improvements for Outer Hammond Street John Theriault stated he was contacted by a concerned citizen in June 2018 regarding a fatality in between Odlin Road and the area of the Leadbetter Store on Outer Hammond Street, as indicated on the map provided. Correspondence was exchanged with Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) to install solar powered LED Lights and signage as part of pedestrian safety improvement on Outer Hammond Street. The cost of the improvements was estimated at $25,000.00, which the State would provide 80% or $20,000.00 of the cost, and the City’s local share would be 20% or $5,000.00. There was continued questions and conversation of the details with the Committee requesting information of the traffic volumes and crashes that occur at night. Vote: Moved and Seconded, Unanimous 1
