Inc., the original Petitioner for said sever extension: and be it further ORDERED. UUU Councilsan mea CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE Engineering Department July 20, 1988 To the Municipal Officers: Reference is made to City Council Order No. 88-212 passed April 25, 1988 which directed the City Engineer to determine the cast of extending the sanitary e n Stillwater Avenue to Kittredge Road in accordance with a petition received from Miramar Properties, Inc. Surveys, Plans and Cost Estimates have been completed, which would provide for the following: The proposed extension would consist of the Installation of 320 feet of 10 inch pipe and one manhole at a total estimated Coat of $11,000.00. of this amsunn, fifty percent would be paid by the City of Bangor, and the remaining $5,500.00 would be assessed against the properties benefitted, as follows. Assessment Miramar Properties, Inc. 220' $3,780.00 Daigle 011 Company 100' $1.720.00 Total $5.500.00 Since Miramar Properties, Inc. is the petitioner for the extension of the sewer, which is intended to a wmotel, It Is recommended that payment of their estimated assessment be obtained prior to the start of construction, and that the remaining private assessment be made upon completion of construction after a final report Is submitted to the City Council. Since the new motel has an carIm,red cost in excess of $6 million, the ual taxes will fax exceed the City's share of the proposed nstru ction, and for tbigr n It is recommended that the sewer be constructed as soon as possible.
