Commentary:
This is the final step in the acceptance of the two streets in the
Pine Meadows Subdivision. The City Council previously directedthe
City Engineer to complete the acceptance procedure. A public hearing
aheld, and this Council Order contains the final report of the
City Engineer, which is ready for passage.

TUT the attached report of the City Engineer relative to the laying
not of Shepherd Drive between Pinson Eoed and Puehaw Road, and Airedale Place
extending north from Shepherd Drive,as public ways be and hereby Is accepted;
and be it further
ORDERED,
THAT said streets be established as public ways, to be named and known
to Shepherd Drive and Airpdaie glace. respectively; and be it further
ORDERED,
THAT said streets be added to the Official City Map.

The subject streets were previously contructed by the City under
an agreement with the Subdivision Developer, Dennie D. Soucy, and have
been constructed
e
ucted to acceptable standards, and all assessments have been
paid. ThePlanning Board has previously approved theSubdivision. Plan,
which has been added to the Official City Map.
It is recommended that said streets be accepted as public ways,
to be named and known as Shepherd Drive and Airedale Place.

Meaning and intending to describe a fifty (50) foot aide right-
of-way extending in a northerly direction from Shepherd Drive for a
distance of one hundred forty-one (141) feet, more or leas, to a
one
hundred (100) foot diameter cul-de-sac, more fully shown on a Plan
entitled "Final Subdivision Plan of the Fine Meadows Subdivision,
Phase II. Findon and Madam Roads, Bangor, Maine for Dennis D. Soucy"
as prepared by Plisga d Day, L.S., dated Hay 13, 1985, and recorded
in Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Plan Pile No. D28-85.
Befog a portion of the premises described in a Deed from Joseph
A. Soucy, at als, to Joseph A. Soucy, et ala. Trustees of Pine Vendome
Realty Trust under Declaration of Trust, dated August 1, 1985, and
recorded In said Registry of needs in volume 3721, Page 105.
The City Engineer proceeded to Say out a grade for said roads
as follows:

of 1.005 for a distance of four hundred (400) feet to E1. 129.86 to
a point. being the point of curvature of a convex vertical curve
having a length of one hundred (loo) feet and an external of 0.10
feet; thence along said curve to the point of tangency, at E1. 128.46;
thence along said tangent

And the City Engineer proceeded to lay out a grade for Airedale
Place as follows:
Beginning at the northerly edge of pavement on Shepherd Drive at
E1. 129.16; thence ascending on a grade of 1.00% for a distance of two
hundred fifty (250) feet to E1. 132.26.
No person or persons appeared at the time and place set for the
hearing.
