ORDER, Amending Role Tw , Paragraph F of the City of Ranges Item/Subject: Personnel Rules and Regulations Relating to "Nepotism Responsible Department: City Manager Commentary: As discussed at the last City Council meeting, we currently have a situation where it is very difficult to racruit mases for the City Nursing Facility. In addition, we have had mare difficulty this year in recruitinj individuals for other parttime, and seasmal work. As a result, was Would propose shone registers to the city's current nepotism policy. The attached order Would authorize the City Manager to waive the nepotism policy for parttime, tsuporary, or seasonal positions when it is determined that such a waiver is necessary in order to recruit sufficient personnel to meet our Operational reeds. Under this policy, should we have a problem in recruiting a specific classification or should we have difficulties in hiring summer arplrnlaes, I would he authorized to waive the police fora specific period oftime and for specific positions. - lhis couldholy be toner. however, so lend as Do permanent couture city employees were involved.
