HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-05-23 88-240 ORDINANCEu,.Nl Action Date 5-15-88 Item No. 89-240 Item/Subject: Amending Chapter VII, Article 4, Section 13 of the Historic Preservation Ordinance -- Penalty Provisions Respomibla Department: Legal Commentary: This ordinance amendment updates the penalty provision of the Historic Preservation Ordinance to allow the City to prosecute solations through the use of Maine Rule of Civil Procedure 80K. Additionally, this amendment increases the penalty amount for solations from a fine of $10 to $100 to a Fin o£ $100 to $2500 for a first offense, and from $2,500 to: 25,000 £or'"a second offense within any 2 -year period.
