Title, Order
Adopting the AARP approved Livable Age-Friendly Action Plan
This order would adopt the Age-Friendly Action Plan, which outlines a series of actions that would
make Bangor more livable for the senior population. The plan was put together by the Bangor
Livable Communities Committee and would allow the group to begin the implementation of an action
plan. This action plan has met the criteria established by AARP and the World Health Organization
resulting in the City of Bangor being recognized as the 100th age friendly community in Maine. The
items in the action plan are phased over a three (3) year time line and the committee is focused on
implementing these items where possible.
