Commentary:
These two streets in the Heritage Subdivision
have been constructed to
acceptable standards.
The City Council has previously authorized the
City Engineer to accept
the streets as public ways. Accordingly, a public hearing was held, and
this Council Order Contains the City Engineer's
report and recommendation
for acceptance.

TMT the attached report of the City Engineer describing the laying out
of Woodview Drive extending west from Essex Street, and Heritage Lane, extending
east from Darling Parke Drive, be and hereby is accepted: and be it further
ORDERED,
THAT said streets be established as public ways, to be named and know as
WoodvfeW Drive and Heritage Lane, said streets previously having been added to
the Official City Map.

HERITAGE LANE
Beginning at a point on the easterly rigbt-of-way line of Darling
Parke Drive located three hundred eighty-two and ninety-five one hundredths
(382.95) feet south from the southerly right-of-way line of Grandview
Avenue, as measured along said easterly line of Darling Parke Drive, said
point of beginning being on a curve to the right having a radios of four
hundred fifty-two and forty-five one hundredths (452.45) feet' thence
along a compound curve to the left having a radius of thirty (30.0) feet

entitled "Darling Parke Subdivision" made by Plisga 6 Day, Lend Surveyors,
dated May 29, 1980, and recorded In said Registry in Nap Pile D48-80.
Meaning and Intending to describe a fifty (50) foot wide right-
of-way extending In a northerly direction from Darling Parke Drive for
a distance of approximately two hundred fifty (250) feet to a one hundred
twenty-five (125) foot diameter cul-de-sac.
Grade
The City Engineer proceeded to lay out a grade for Heritage Lane,
as follows:
Beginning at the edge of pavement on Darling Parke Drive at E1. 215.40;
thence ascending on e grade of 2.71 for a distance of one hundred eight (108)
feet to E1. 218.32, being the point of curvature of axvertical curve
having a length of fifty (50) feet; thence along said curve for a distance
of fifty (50) to a point of tangency at B1. 219.25; thence continuing to
ascend n
along said tangent o a grade of 1% for a distance of fifty (50) feet
to El. 219.]5 at a point ofcurvature of aconvexertical curve having a
length of fifty (50) feet; thence along said curve for a distance of fifty

WWDVIEW DRIVE
Beginning at a point on the westerly right-af-wry line of Essex
Street nine hundred thirty and sixty-seven one hundredths (930.67) feet
eat from the intersection of said westerly right-of-way line of Essex
Street with the southerly right -of -Gay line of Grandview Avenue, said
point of beginning being at the intersection of the northerly right-of-
way line of Woodviev Drive thence South 80° 26' 05" West along the
northerly right-of-way line of Woodviev Drive for a distance of two
hundred sixty-seven and sixty-nine one hundredths (267.69) feet to a
point, being on the perimeter of a one hundred twenty-five (125) foot
diameter cul-de-sac, the center of which is located South 46° 23' 02"
West a distance of sixty-two and five tenths (62.5) feet from the last
described point; thence counterclockwise along the perimeter of said
cul-de-sac for an arc length of three hundred forty and four tenths
(340.4) feet no a point, said point being on the southerly right-of-way
line of Woodviev-Drive, fifty (50.0) feet south from; a red at
right angles to the first described line; thence North 80°e26' 05" East
along said southerly right-of-way line for a distance of two hundred
fifty-nine and eighty-five one hundredths (259.65) feet to the westerly
-right-of-way line of Essex Street( thence North 300 46' 00" West for a
distance of fifty and one one hundredths (50.01) feet t0 the point of
beginning, being shown as Woodviev Drive on a plan of land entitled
"Heritage Subdivision" made by Pliaga d Day, Land Surveyors, dated
May 26, 1987, and recorded in the Penobscot County Registry of Deeds
in Map Pile D49-87.
Meaning and Intending to describe a fifty (50) foot vide right-
of-way extending in a westerly direction from Essex Street for a distance
of approximately two hundred sixty (260) feet to a one hundred twenty-five
(125) foot diameter cul-de-sac.
Grade
The City Engineer proceeded to layout a grade for said Woodview
Drive a5 follows:

No person or persons appeared at the time and place set for the
heating.
Bath of these streets are contained within the Heritage Subdivision,
previously approved by the Planning Board and the City Council, and the
streets were
constructedea
under an Agreement with the Developers, Peter
N. Lambert,Marjorie A. Harris, George L. Parke, Ann H. Parke, Bonnie
Sawyer, and Jahn B. Darling. Said streets have been constructed to
acceptable City standards, and the Developers have paid their total
share of the construction coat.
Accordingly, it is recommended that Heritage Lane and Woodvlaw
Drive be accepted as Public ways for street purposes: since the sob -
division was previously approved by the Planning Board, said streets
have been added to the Official City Map.'
Plans showing the details of said street layouts are on file
in the Office of the City Engineer.
