WHEREAS, During the past year, Mary E. Sullivan has
represented the City of Bangor and all of Maine's
municipalities as a member of the Board of
Directors of the Maine Municipal Association; and
WHEREAS, The Maine Municipal Association is dedicated to
advancing the interests of local goverment
throughout the State of Maine; and
WHEREAS, Mary E. Sullivan has been elected a
Vice -President of the Maine Municipal Association;
and
WHEREAS, The election of Mary E. Sullivan recognizes her
on-going and forceful commitment to local
government in the State of Maine and brings honor
and recognition to the City of Bangor and its
citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BANGOR, THAT we congratulate Mary E. Sullivan
on her election and promise our continued support
and encouragement to her efforts and to those of
the Maine Municipal Association to advance the
causes of local government throughout the State of
Maine.
