ORDERED.
TUT, WHEREAS, the City of Bangor currently has an ongofng Contract with
Woodard E Curran, Inc., Consulting Engineers, forservices pertaining to the
upgrading of the Bangor Wastewater Treatment Facility to provide secondary
treatment, and
WHER8As, additional services have been and will be required to continue
the process of selecting a design firm for the Secondary Treatment Plant;
NOW, THBREPORE, Be It
ORDERED, TWAT the existing Contract with Woodard 6 Curran, Inc. be amended
by providing for the fdllmmg additional services:
1. For continued negotiations on Consent Agreement issues with the Maine
Department of Environmental Protection and the Environmental Protection Agency,
an additional amount not to exceed $20,000.00.
2. ,Par assisting City Engineering Department personnel in the preparation
and submission of a Facilities Plan as required by said Consent Agreement,
including possible follow-up response, a am not to exceed $30,000.00.
3. For a detailed review of a design -build Proposal received from Infilcs
Degremont. Inc.. including all necessary follow-up meetings, at an additional sum
not to exceed $33,650.00.
4. For the upgrading of the City's Industrial Pretreatment Program to
address concerns expressed by EPA, a sum nor to exceed $14.500.00.
S. For assistance in the selection of a design firm for the upgrading
of the Bangor Wastewater Treatment Facility to provide secondary treatment,
an additional sum not to exceed $12,500.00. And be it further
CREME, THAT the costs for said additional work be charged to the existing
account for Secondary Treatment design, Account We. 52-60-20 (5308).
