WHEREAS', the General Services Administration proposes to erect a new federal building and post office in Bangoi, aM WHEREAS, as a result of publicity given to a discussion of this matter In an executivesessionof the City Council an September 10, 1964, the City Council finds it desirable, in the public interest and for purposes of clari- fication, to issue a further statement on this matter, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Bangor City Council assures the General Services Administration that it welcomes the construction in Bangor of a new building designed to meet the expanding housing needs of the Post Office and other federal agencies, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager be Instructed to forward copies of this resolve to the General Services Administration and to interested members of Maine's Congressional delegation. 227-P EES0LVE ,Relative to New Fedggal Building 'am Post Offi B IN CITY COUNCIL Sept. 17, 1962 Motion to amend failed by the following 74 4 yes am no vote: Councilors voting "at Bailey, Barry, Bram, Higgins.
