REcavmo CITY CLEen ^" nr RLyGaR. MWF IN CITY COUNCIL Sept. 25, 1961 PASSED 221-N ORDER Report of City Engineer Re: Sewer Construction Norfolk Street Intea-d_aeedoend Bled 6y CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE Engineering Department September 19, 1961 To: Joseph R. Coupal, Jr., City Manager Re: Memo 819 Sewer Construction on Norfolk Street Pursuant to Council Order $207-N requesting the construction of a new sewer on Norfolk Street northerly from Montgomery Street, the City Engineer sent questionnaires to the property ownere in- volved asking that they indicate whether or not they were in favor of or opposed to the construction of a now sewer on Norfolk Street. Of the seven property owners involved, five owners have indicated they were opposed to the construction and these five owners repre- sent 73'Bi of the frontage assessable. One owner has failed to reply and this owner represents 8% of the frontage. One owner was in favor of the construction and represents 19% of the frontage. From this suomary, it appears that the overwhelming majority of the property owners are not in favor of the construction of a new sewer at this time.
