The first ten hundred and ninety-three (1093) feet of right-of- way west of Essex Street is laid out on land owned by Grace B. Shannon and the next one hundred eighty-five (165) feet of right-of- way is laid out upon land of Paul E. Shancon. Damages for said land are recommended as follows: Grace B. Shannon 1.66 acres Total recommended damages 6300.00 Paul E. Shannon 0.28 screw Total recommended damages 6 50.00. - 2 - The remaining portion of the right-of-way as laid out crosses City property so that no further damages are recommended. More appeared at the time and place set for the meeting Mrs. Grace B. ShuffoUIl. Mrs. Items Shearon. M ..-James Mooney9 Attorney representing Grace B. Shannon and Mr. Carroll R. White. All spoke in favor of the proposed laying out; it was requested by Mr. Mooney that consideration be given to moving the right-of-way across the Shannon property in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately one hundred (100) feeto so as to permit the dev- slopment of lots along both aides of the right-of-way by the Shoshone. After studying the matter. it was determined that the right-of-way scold not be shifted in sash a manner while still providing a smooth transition with the presently accepted portion of Grandview Avenue between Laurel Street and Broadway. Mr. Carroll B. White also op- posed this move as proposed by Mr. Mooney Inasmuch as the roadway if so located would provide no benefit to his property. It was pointed out to all present that the City of Bangor has no immediate plane for the construction of a roadway within the proposed right - of -my but is merely laying out said right-of-way for future use if the demand or necessity so requires. The City Engineer recommends that said right-of-way be estab- lished and dedicated as a future public way for possible future use for street construction to be named and known as Grandview Avenue should said roadway be constructed. An accurate plan accompanies this report. Respectfully submitted. >=r.-'-a,_c1 John T.
