Avenue _.. .....ivtred diad by u®tllmu 2'/9(501) SPECIAL PROVISIONS CCNSTRBCTION AM A Construction Area, located in the city of Bangor and the town of Veazie has been established by the Maine State Highway Commlesien in accordance with the provisions of Section 98, chapter 22, Revised Statutes of 1954. The area is described as follows: (a) Me section of highway under construction from "Construction Sign" to "Constriction Sign". (b) State Aid Highway No. 13 (Mt. Hope Ave.), in the city of Bangor, from the "Construction Sign" at the westerly end of the project easterly to the Bangor-Veazie town line. (c) State Aid Highway No. 3 (Mt. Hope Ave.) and B.S. Route 2 in the town of Veazie, from the Bangor-Veazie tom line easterly to the "Construction Sign" at the easterly end of the project. The State Highway Commission or the Staters Engineer may issue permits for stated periods of time for moving Construction egvipment without loads{ low -bad trailers with overloads; over -height, over -width or over -length equipment or materials; over all sections des- cribed in the "Construction Area" above and in addition may issue permits for stated periods of time for moving ova -weight vehicles and loads over the section described in (a) above. The right to revoke such a permit at any time is reserved by the State Highway Commission and the issuance of such permits shall be subject to any Special Provisions or Supplemental Specifications written for this project. The Municipal Officers of the tame of Bangor and Veazie have agreed that they will Segue permits for the transportation of heavy construction equipment in excess of the legal weight, height, width$ or length limits over each tom wave as many be necessary for the prosecution of this contract. In the event it is necessary to transport gravel, borrow, or other construction material in legally registered vehicles carrying legal loads over tom ways, a Con- tractor's Band of not more than age Thousand Dollars ($5,O .00) per mile of traveled length, will be required by the tem. The undersigned Municipal Officers of the City of Bangor do hereby agree that a permit mill be issued to the contractor for Project No. 279(501) for the pwpose of hauling loads in excess of the limits, as specified in Chapter 22, Neviaed Statutes of 1954, on the tom nays as described in the "Construction Area".
