WHEREAS, the City of Bangor is proud and happy to serve
as the host community for the second annual Maine Products
Show sponsored by the Maine Department of Economic
Development and
WHEREAS, this 196E Showcase for Industry will bring
many thousands of visitors t0 the Bangor Auditorium on
August 15, 16, and 19, and
WHEREAS, this event is of tremendous importance to the
economic and industrial development of the Bangor area
and of the whole State of Maine,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Bangor City Council,
seting in regular session on August 13, 1962, hereby
records its deep gratitude to the Maine Department of
Economic Development, and to all participating State
and local agencies and officials, for arranging to
hold: the Maine Products Show in Bangor, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council expresses
sincere appreciation to all Maine manufacturers who are
displaying their products, and to the several federal
agencies which are presenting exhibits, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council extends a
hearty welcome to all visitors at the Maine Products
Show, and especiallly to the representatives of European
nations and to other distinguished guests from outside
the State of Maine, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council urges all
the citizens of Bangor to attend the Maine Products
Show and to offer in every possible way the warm
hospitality which is characteristic of the community.
