J2eee r9 7 qua 0"14— h To: MEMBERS OF THE BANGOR CITY COUNCIL, BANGOR, MAINE, MEMBERS OF TRE PLANNING BOARD FOR CITY OF BANGOR, BANGOR MAINE: We, the undersigned, being taxpayers and residents of the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, respect- fully request that there be no permanent discontinuance or blocked off from use of that portion of Somerset Street between Palm Street and Forest Avenue in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine. We, the undersigned, do agree that that portion of - Somerset Street between Palm Street and Forest Avenue in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, could be tempor- arily blocked off from use by vehicular traffic, during the school hours when the Abraham Lincoln School facilities are used by the students. We, the undersigned, contend that the permanent dis- continuance or permanent blocking off of that portion of Somerset Street between Palm Street and Fore at Avenue in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, would permanently Jeopardize the free flow of traffic for access to and from State Street in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, and that it would lower the valuation of property in the area, because it would discontinue a utilitarian service and is in fact, needless and unnecessary.
