ORDERED, THAT , MHEAS, the City Council by order #175-M, passed an July 11, 1960, received a petition for the acceptance of Clark Avenue and WPEREAS, this street has been recommended by the Planning Board and approved by the City Council for addition to the official map, now therefore, it is hereby ORDERED, that the City Engineer, acting far and on behalf of the municipal officers according to law, lay out by metes and bounds and establish grades for Clark Avenue, lying between Essex Street and East Broadway extended, a distance of 805 feet, all in the City of Bangor and be it further ORDERED, that the City Engineer report his findings, together with said desuripticn;tc the City Council, said report and descrip- tion to become a part of this order and the street as described In said report be hereby accepted as a public way. And that the said City Engineer met at the time and place of meeting specified in the antlers and proceeded to lav ou.sald street ma follows: Description of Clark Avenue Beginning at a point on the westerly side line of Essex Street, said point being 521.0 feet northerly from a granite monument set on the westerly aide of Essex Street, said monu- ment also being 100 feet southerly from the southerly side line of said Lancaster Avenue, said distance being measured by and along the westerly side line of said Essex Street; thence westerly and at right angles to the westerly side line of Essex street for a distance of 805 feet to the easterly side line of East Broadway as proposed, said easterly aide line being a continuation of Best Broadway northerly fres Lancaster Avenue. The street has been laid out 50 feet wide measured at right angles northerly from the above described line and over the same course and within the same bounds as originally set aside for street ourposea by the proprietors of the land over which said street passes. A meeting was held in the office of the City Engineer at 10;00 A. M., IDT, on Wednesday, August 10, 1960. There appeared at the meeting Percy L. Fernald who spoke in favor of the accept- ance. No other parson or persona appeared at the time and place set far the meeting to ob Ject to or claim damages by reason of said laying out and grade. This street hes previously been Clark Avenue - Description and Grade Page 2 recommended by the Planning Board for addition to the official map. The City 6sgineen recommends that the above described street and grade be accepted and established as a public way and the street as, named and known as Clark Avenue.
