(PrD¢r,-Establishing ,aSecondary School Building Committee By the City Oaxaca of Me City ofBanwr: ORDERED, THAT WHEREAS a School Building Committee has been established consisting of three members of the School Board and three members of the City Council, the City Manager and School Superintendent ex -officio tubers, to study and investigate the need for additional high school and elementary school facilitie a in the City of Bangor, end to proceed with the construction of Me two elementary schools in the Oapehart Development and at Fourteenth Street, and to select and fix compensation of a competent architect to prepare preliminary plane and coat estimates for additional high school facilities in the City cf Bangor, and to proceed with the final plane and specifications for a new high school facility, and WHEREAS, on Tune 27th the citizens of the City of Bangor voted against the issuance of $3,500 000 in bonds for the construction of a new high school, as proposed, and WHEREAS, there still exists need for additional Secondary School facilities in the City of. Bangor, and WHEREAS, it now appears desirable that a larger committee be constituted to carry forward plane for new secondary school facilities, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED That the Chairman of the City Council of the City of Bangor be and hereby is authorized to appoint a Secondary School Building Committee to consist a five members of the City Council, five members of the School Commitee, and six members 4 the public -at -large, with the Gay Manager and Superintendent of Schools as ex -officio members. Councilor Brown absent. The Order was then reconsidered by the following votez Councilors voting yes: Bailey, Barry, Blaisdell, Delano, Groes, Higgins, Keith Whittaker.
