IN CRY COUNCIL May 28, 1962 Utrodoaed and filed by Indefinitely postponed. -.,..... .•o4• oSDemo C ERI( CITY OF HAMSON, MAIMS Engineering Department May 249 1962 To: The Municipal Officers Forecast to City Council Order #126-H, passed May 81 1961, directing the City Engineer to make surveys, prepare plane and cost estimates for a new sewer an Essex Street southerly from Lancaster Avenue to the Interstate Highway and Including a list of possible assessments, the following report in hereby sub- mitted. The construction required to serve the portion of Heeer Street southerly from Lancaster Avenue will involve Installing 70 feet of 24" reinforced concrete pipe, 1780 feet of 12" vitrified clay pipe and 700 feet of 8" vitrified clay pipe, together with 10 new manhole ventilators. The total estimated coat of this pro - 4at amounts to twenty-five thousand eight hundred dollars 25,800). Of thin mount l 75% or nineteen thousand three hundred and fifty dollars 1¢19,350), may be assessed against the property benefited. In order to provide the sever service requested along Heeer Street, it will be neceeeary to make an additional installation easterly from Essex Street located approximately 150 feet northerly from and�pparallel with the northerly right-of-way, of Interstate Highway A'95 for a distance of 1750 feet to connect with the end of an existing trunk sewer under the Interstate Highway. Upon completion of the survey and cost estimate, each of the abutting property owners subject to assessment was sent a written notice advising than of their proportionate share of the coat of the estimated coat of the proposed construction together with a form to be returned on which they indicated whether they were In favor of or opposed to the new construction.
