ORDERED,
THAT the City Engineer, acting for and on behalf of the
Munlcioal Officers of the City of Bangor, is hereby directed to lay
out land within the corporate limits for use as a location for the
construction of a municipal golf course in accordance with the pro-
visions of Chapter 96, Section 6, Revised Statutes of Maine, 1954,
as amended, and be it further
ORDERED that the City Ragineer, acting for and on behalf of said
Municipal Okficsrs, proceed to give written notice of such intentions
of such Municipal Officers by posting such notices for seven days
in two public places In the City of Bangor and In the vicinity of the
lot of land more fully described as follows:
Being the area lying northwesterly of Webster Avenue and now
owned by William C• Mcleod; bounded on the north and west by the
Interstate Highway, on the east by lands now or formerly owned by
Anile D. Henry and Howard H. Folsom, on the southeast by Webster
Avenue and a lot of land now or formerly owned by Sterling T. and
Phyllis V. Davis; and the City Ragineer is further
ORDERED, to make a written return of said proceedings, containing
bounds and ad -measurements of said lot of land and the damages allowed
to the person or persons for the land taken, all in accordance with
the laws of the State of Maine, said report to be made a part of this
order.

And that the said City Engineer met at the time and place of meeting specified in the notices
and proceeded to lay out. said land as follows:
Description of Land Owned by William 0, & Grace 0. McLeod
Beginning at a point In the street line on the northwesterly
side of Webster Avenue, said point being the property line between
land owned by William 0. Mcleod and land now or formerly owned by
Howard H. Folsom; thence southwesterly along said Webster Avenue
street line for a distance of Your hundred one feet (401' ) more
or lees to a point on the property line between said Mclaoa and
land new or formerly owned by Sterling T. Davis; thence proceeding
at right angles In a northweaterl; direction from said street line
one hundred twenty-five feet (125 +) more or lees to a point;
thence at right angles in a eouthweeterly direction, one hm5dred
four feet (104' ±) more or lose to a point; thence turning at right

The above described parcel of land In subjected to avigation,
sewer and other easements held by the United States Government and
slope easements held by the State of Maine.
All bearings mentioned in the above parcel are from true north.
No person or persons appeared at the time and place set for the
meeting. The Oity Engineer, acting on behalf of the municipal
officers, viewed the land as described above and reoommends the pay-
ment of damages to Mr. William 0. McLeod, owner of said land, In
the amount of eleven thousand two hundred fifty dollars (=11,250).
The City Engineer has advised Mr. McLeod in writing as to rile
rights under the law to appeal the damages recommended, should he not
be satisfied.
In accordance with Chapter 96, Section 5 of the Revised Statutes
of Maine, a petition has been obtained containing the signatures of at
least thirty taxpaying citizens, which directs the municipal officers
to take the above described land for the purposes eat forth, and
said petition accompanies this report.
A plan showing the property in question accompanies this report.
