ORDERED, THAT the City Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to execute the attached Quit Claim deed for and on behalf of the City a Bangor to the State Highway Commission upon payment of $475. Note: This deed covers three parcels of land lying between the Interstate Highway and Dow Air Force Base with no street frontage oraccess. The City Planner reports the area to be too far from Union Street to have practical access oruse from this street. He suggests there is no potential city use for this property and recommends the accep- tance of the offer of $475 by the State Highway Commission. This deed also conveys the city's right title and interest in those portions of the dedicated streetsincluding Hersey Avenue. Allen Street, Fairfax Street and Wilson Avenue. By the City Council of the City of Bangor: ORDERED. THAT the City Treasurer be and is hereby authorized to execute the attached Quit Claim Deed for and on behalf of the City of Bangor to the State Highway Commission upon payment of 8975.00. IN CITY COUNCIL February 8, 1960 Received under Suspension of Rules, PASSED A true copy, Attest: 89-M - 2 KNOW ALL HER BY THESE PRESENTS, THAT the Inhabitants of the City of Bangor, a body corporate, located at Bangor in the County of Penobscot and State of Maine, in consideration of Due Dollar (81.00) and other valuable considerations to it paid by the State of Maine, the receipt whereof it does hereby acknowledge, does hereby remise, release, bargain, sell and convey and Forever Quit -Claim unto the said State of Maine, its successors and assigns forever, three certain lots or parcels of land situated in the City of Bangor, County of Penobscot and State of Maine, bounded and described as follows: Being Parcels (6-1), (6-2). and (6-3) as shown on a Right of Way Map, State Highway "95", Bangor, Federal Aid Projects I-95-8(7) and I-95-8(17), dated February 1958 and July 1958, on file in the office of the State Highway Commission (S.H.C. File No. 10.113) and to be recorded in the Registry of Deeds of Penobscot County. Parcel (6-1) Bounded southerly by a dedicated street known as Allen Street; Westerly by land now or formerly of the heirs of Sallie E. Lothrop; Northerly by land now or formerly of Robert B. Dawning; Easterly by land now or formerly of Frederick W. Russell and Dawn M. Russell. Parcel (6-2) Bounded southerly by a dedicated street known as Allen Street; Westerly by land now or formerly of Frederick W. Russell and Dawn M. Russell; Northerly by a dedicated street known as Fairfax Street; Easterly by land now or formerly of Frederick W. Russell and Dawn M. Russell and by the Westerly Boundary Line of State Highway "95" asestablished in a Layout and Notice of Taking dated June 18, 1958 and recorded In Penobscot Registry of Deeds in Book 1630, Page 309.
