That Chapter VIII, Article 7 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Bangor
shall be amended by repealing Section 1 and Sub -section 6 of Section 2 and
replacing with the following;
CHAPTER VIII
ARTICLE 7 -- LOCAL BUSINESS ZONES
Ch. VIII; Art. 7
Sec. I
Sec. 1 LOCAL BUSINESS ZONES. In a Local Business Zone no building, land, or
premises shall be erected, altered, or used
except for one or more of the fallowing uses:
(1) Residence "G" uses as hereinbefore set cull
(2) Office or bank;
(3) Gasoline service station where no major repairs or
car
sales
e permitted, and only upon approval of the Zoning Board of
Appeals;
(4) Any other retail business or service which has a single floor
area not greater than 2,000 square feet, and is conducted
entirely within the building, and whose primary purpose is to
serve the ordinary needs of the immediately surrounding
residential neighborhood, and is not dangerous offensive,or
detrimental to the said neighborhood.
Sec. 2 REQUIREMENTS.
(6) Side yard width: There shall be on each aide of every building a
side yard having a minimum width of eight (8)
feet. Wherever a side yard is adjacent to a street, the regulations
for front yard$ shall apply.
