Dear Mr. Coupal:
Mr. 'William Doucette, an employee in the public darks
Department since May, 1942, became seventy years of ago 0
Jaanu Dry 29, 1958. He has requested a further extension of
one year in is term of employment.
This is, no doubt, an exceptional case. Mr. Doucette
does not lock nor act like a man of his years. He is in
rood physical condition and is most capable of performing
his duties in a satisfactory manner. Mr. Doucette has
always been a valued employee of the Department, being an
experienced raker in paving work, and for several years he
has been assigned to the night crew during the winter season
for salting and sanding work.
'.n this instance, we feel we are justified in recommend-
ing the requsst, Mr. Doucette hes made, be granted and that
he be allowed to continue as an employee in tie Public Works
Department.
Very truly yours,
O r'. 'lerr 11,ntt or
