Pertaining to Certain Provisions of State, Retirement System By the City Council of Us City of Seeger. RESOLVED. WHEREAS, the City of Ranger has committed itself to make available to its employees the benefits of the State Retirement System, and WHEREAS, the State Retirement System provides that employees in excess of 70 years of age must be retired unless special provisions are made, and WHEREAS, William H. Doucette, an employee of the Public Works Department, is in excess of 70 years of age and wishes to avail Himself of the opportunities afforded by the State Retirement System plan, therefore be it RESOLVED, that ba view of Mr. Doucette's many years of faithful and conscientious service to the City of Ranger, the request of Mr. Doucette that he noberetiredat age 70 be and hereby is granted and that the Trustees of the State Retirement System be advised that Mr. Doucette is being retained. 60-P RECEIVED NES0LVE 1961 JAN 15 AN 0:46 ' CITY CLERK'S OfFICEf144 _ '[TY OF RENOOR. Compel, Jr. City Manazer 3enu_or, Maine Dear Mr. Coupal: Mr. 'William Doucette, an employee in the public darks Department since May, 1942, became seventy years of ago 0 Jaanu Dry 29, 1958. He has requested a further extension of one year in is term of employment. This is, no doubt, an exceptional case. Mr. Doucette does not lock nor act like a man of his years. He is in rood physical condition and is most capable of performing his duties in a satisfactory manner. Mr. Doucette has always been a valued employee of the Department, being an experienced raker in paving work, and for several years he has been assigned to the night crew during the winter season for salting and sanding work. '.n this instance, we feel we are justified in recommend- ing the requsst, Mr. Doucette hes made, be granted and that he be allowed to continue as an employee in tie Public Works Department.
