* The nature of the work of these salaried classifications requires considerable
overtime. Recommded pay ranges take this fact into consideration and have
therefore been placed one range higher in the plan to compensate for this
situation. No ether re enation or congensatory time should be allowed for
these classifications.
ue It is recommended that a Police Captain, when assigned to the Detective
Division, be assigned to the corresponding step in the next higher range
than Captain. 4lnen assigned to the Traffic Division, it isa ended

higher range.
At the present time, the City of Hanger has found it feasible to operate
many of Its departments ona 3721 -hour basic work, week. The ranges of
pay which a recommended for the classifications concerned are based
on a standard 40 -how work week. If in the future,municipal officials
deem it necessary to return to a 40 -hour work week, it is recommended
that no adjustment in pay be made as the present policy is such to the
benefit of the employees.
