Intxaduaad and filed by ��...... • • ComaiLua CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE Ba Sneering Department Oct. 17, 1962 To: The Municipal Officers Pursuant to City Council Order 157-P, passed June 25, 1962, directing the City Engineer to prepare plans and cost estimates together win a list of possible assessments for a new sewer to serve property on Od11n Road southerly from the Maine Central Railroad, the following report is submitted: Plans have been prepared which would provide for 19725 feet of 8 inch Vitrified clay pipe extending southerly along Odlin Road from an existing manhole at the Intersection of Perry Road. The total estimated coat of this Installation amounts to fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000), of which amount 75% or eleven thousand two hundred and fifty dollars ($11,2501, may be assessed against the property benefited. Upon completion of the survey and cost estimate, each of the abutting property owners subject to assessment was sent a written notice advising them of their proportionate share of the estimated cost of the proposed sewer together with a form to be returned on which they indicated whether they were in favor of or opposed to the construction of the new sewer. As a result of the questionnaire, all of the abutting property owners were opposed to the construction of the new sewer and the original petitioner, Mr. William Viner of Vlner Bros., Inc., has indicated by letter that he no longer desires to have the sewer constructed at this time. It is there- fore recommended that no further consideration be given to the construction of said sewer until such time as the petition is renewed. Respectfully submitted, John T.
