The complete ordinance may be found in Chapter VII, Article 6, Section 7 of the Bangor City Ordinances. Although the City of Bangor does restregulate hunting, the discharge of firearms during hunting may take place only in Zane 2, shown on the above map, and then only under the following condition: 1. The firearms user must be the owner of the property he is shooting on, or have written permission from the owner or tenant (Owner and tenantif the property is occupied by fie tenant). 2. The written permission to discharge a firearm must be carried im else person of the shooter. 3. Shotguns or firearms of 12 cel. or smaller may not be discharged within 300' of any dwelling or public way. 4. Firearms larger than .22 cal. (excepting shotguns) may not be discharged within BOO' of any dwelling or public way. NOTE: Notwithstanding the provisions of this ordinance, the unsafe handling or discharge of a firearm, or Ne disregard of "No Trespassing" stens, may give rise to criminal liability under state statutes regarding rxkless canduct or trespass.
