Coastal Zone Management By the Ciev Council of the ate of11ampor: ORDERED, THAT , WHEREAS, it is considered necessary to provide expansion of the dinghy float at the Bangor municipal docking facility to provide more capacity for the increasing number of boaters, and to provide power stations on the two existing municipal floats to attract more transient boater visits to the area, and WIEREAS, the State Department of Economic d Community Developaent has indicated that it would entertain an application for a waterfront action grant under the Maine Coastal Program to support fifty percent of the cont of such facilities; NOW, THEREFORE, Be It ORDERED, THAT the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to file an application to the Maine Department of Economic 6 Community Development for waterfront action grant for this Purpose and to contract with said Department for the receipt of such grant monies, if awarded; and be it further ORDERED, THAT the City Manager be authorized to take all the necessary actions to carry out the program as agreed upon by the State Office of Comprehensive Planning, including entering into subcontracts to carry out the mark program subject to the review of final contracts and expenditures by the City Council Finance Committee, and subject to the City of Bangor share of the costs being limited to fifty percent, or $4.650.00; and be it further ORDERED. THAT the City Engineer be designated as the Project Manager. STATEMENT OF PACT: The butaal6stdmated cost of the work to be accomplished is $9,300.00, with a potential fifty percent grant under the Maine Coastal Program, with the remaining $4,650.00 to be provided by the City.
